- Nutritional support, counseling, bereavement support, information on HIV & AIDS related issues through our Day Care Programme.
- Training for professionals, corporate sector and community members.
- Naledi Hospice is offering a Short Course in Palliative Care for Professional Nurses. The course runs over a period of eight months and is a
combination of
theory and practice that is designed around four themes:
- Professional Nursing Practice and Palliative Care.
- Basic Communication Skills.
- Theory and Practice of Symptom Control.
- Theory and Practice of Psychological, Social, Spiritual and Supportive Care.
- Naledi Hospice is offering a Home Based Care training program that runs for 28 days. The course is composed of 18 days of theory and 10 days of practical.
This training has been developed specifically to meet the needs of providing knowledge and skills in the diverse areas pertaining to community based home care.
The development of the training programme is based on:
- The identified holistic needs of the patient and family.
- The identified needs of the caregiver.
- The resources available within each care setting.
- Networking with other organizations/care providers.
- The need for ongoing training and support for cares.
