Palliative Care is a Human Right

During the year 2012 Naledi Hospice will be focusing on Palliative Care which is a human right.
Palliative Care is a very special and unique type of care that focuses on the relief of all types of pain: physical, spiritual and psycho-social.

Hospice is a movement represented across the globe that believes that every person with a life threatening condition has the right to quality of life and dignity in death. The objectives of Hospice Week are to focus on the right to pain control; create awareness amongst professional groups in the health sector; and to address misconceptions about hospice.

From the beginning of February our beneficiaries and the community will be able to visit the Naledi Hospice at 118 Andries Pretorius Street, Naval View between 09h00 to 15h00. There will be a display of information pamphlets relevant to the items listed on our events calender. This would be an opportunity to learn about the services the hospice has to offer; enhance partnerships and strengthen relationships in an effort to serve the community of Mangaung.
